2ND GRADE

 

Turkish

1. Explain the relationship between people, trees, forests, plants and animals.

2. Participates in discussions on the subject.

3. Writes a story about forest, plant and animal.

Life Science

1. The tree sows the seed and observes its growth.

2. Researches the benefits of forest and gives examples.

3. Tells the dangers that may occur as a result of deforestation.

4. Knows that forests are an oxygen store for human health.

5. Understands the importance of leaving a more livable world to future generations.

 6. He plants trees in his immediate environment and around the school.

  7.Knows that a clean and green environment positively affects human health.

  8.He prepares to plant trees with his classmates.

  Maths

1. Performs addition and subtraction using tree leaves and branches.

2. Creates patterns using tree elements.

3. Makes symmetry work with tree branches and leaves.

 

 

Visual arts

     1. Collects tree branches and colorful leaves to create visual artwork.

     2. Designs an autumn tree from the materials he collected for the Visual Arts class.

     3. To prepare a May calendar, she designs a spring tree with earwax and watercolors.

    4. Designs the tree of his dreams using colored papers.

Music

1. He writes a song about the forest and trees.

2. Designs a rhythm suitable for the song he wrote.

3. He creates his song by combining the rhythm he designed with maracas.

Making October page from the project joint Calendar 

6th of January-the day we made our calendar page. 1st graders worked in 3 teams: first team chose the 2022  October image, the second one gave the October logo and the third one translated into English. The teacher wrote the English Logo.This is the first calendar my kids collaborate till now. They were proud of the final work.
